The Very Best Time to Plant Shrubs

There is a common misconception that spring is the best time of year to plant trees and shrubs for your landscape. While it is a very good time, in truth, autumn is the time of year that the environment is most congenial to planting larger specimen. In these later months of the year, the soil is still warm enough to encourage root growth while the cooler air temperature helps lessen evaporation. The plants will continue to grow their roots through the winter and will be better established heading into summer and our inevitable drought season.  Always use BioTone Starter Plus when planting and always water deeply and regularly the first year to establish roots!
